History
The Altona Cricket Club was founded in 1962 and were affiliated with the VJCA up until the completion of the 1973/74 season.
Since the 1974/75 season, the Altona Cricket Club have been proudly affiliated with the Victorian Sub District Cricket Association. Over that time, the Altona Cricket Club has won six grand finals:
First XI: 1987/88, 1996/97
Second XI: 1987/88, 2010/11
Third XI: 2009/10
Fourth XI: 1997/98

Our Teams
The club fields four teams in the VSDCA. The club also enters a team in the Twenty20 Twilight league run the by the VSDCA on Tuesday Nights.

Our JG Craig shield side compete in the VSDCA North West division during January. Games are played on clubs 1’s and 2’s ground, giving our under 15 players the chance to play turf cricket on some of the best grounds in Victoria.

We have teams in the U11, U13, U15 and U17 Western Region Junior Cricket Association (WRJCA) junior competition. WRJCA games are played on Friday nights and in the morning on weekends.
​
For our youngest cricketers, we host a Cricket Blast program on Sunday mornings commencing October.
